Professional History
Grassroots Giving Group, Inc. (Boston, MA)
President, January 2009 - Present
I've formed Grassroots Giving Group, along with the Auburn Quad owners, in order to bring Auburn Quad's technology to charitable fundraising. Our motto, which I've learned through experience, is "People give more, and they give more often, when they're asked to give by someone they know and trust." Our software makes it easy and fun for those interactions to happen online.

Auburn Quad, Inc. (Cambridge, MA)
CEO, April 2008 - January 2009
Auburn Quad creates software that allows anyone to become a fundraiser by easily creating a working fundraising webpage. Users can express themselves through giving money, and our software helps them feel good about giving money and asking other people for gifts. Auburn Quad provides the software for ActBlue, the nation's largest source of funds for Democrats.

Hang Wire is a successful small business in south Seattle, producing websites, e-mail outreach services, web databases, and consulting for a range of political, nonprofit and enterprise clients. Started by my former business partners Rob Lloyd and Kelly Merta with just $10 in the bank, and reincorporated when I joined them as a partner, Hang Wire has helped dozens of clients achieve and maintain a successful Internet presence. Skills
Management & Workplace Teamwork
The years have given me a chance on several occasions to manage small staffs, and (especially at my current business) to participate in enterprise decision-making among responsible equals. Working off the template of the best managers I've known, I've emerged as a challenging and fair manager, who recognizes the importance of staff development to mission success, and has demonstrated that morale can be driven by the accomplishment of appropriately challenging tasks. I believe in the ability of people to develop new skills, and I push them to take risks.
